As our foster homes are generally always full with dogs in our rescue we have developed this policy to allow you to see the options you have when needing to surrender your Lab.
Accepting your dog into the rescue: Prior to the acceptance of your dog into the rescue we will need these following things: an email titled Surrendering (your dog's name) and in this email you must send us several photos of the dog with the age, sex, how long you have owned and how you obtained the dog, and why you need to surrender. We will then need you to fill out the Surrender Attachment A in which you can find on this page to the right side. Please fill it out entirely and email it back to us. It may take up to a week to review this information and make a decision upon accepting the dog.
If your dog passes the first part of these steps we will need to temperment test the animal and you must drive the dog to wherever it is convenient for one of our volunteers to meet.
Once they pass the temperment test we will then need a copy of all vet records and a surrender contract signed. If the dog requires any vetting including the spay or neuter you must pay for these at our discounted rate. You must also disclose to us ANY medical conditions the animal may have. You will not necessarily have to cover these expenses. We only ask that you cover the basic vetting necessities.
Surrender Fee: If you can not keep your dog in that above time frame you must put forth a $100 surrender fee in which we will use for boarding expenses.
